Help your students to develop their comprehension of persuasive texts with the Examining the Evidence resource!

Students will read a letter to the editor and identify the evidence used by the author to support their arguments. In addition, they will evaluate the author’s supporting evidence, identifying the weakest example and rewriting an improved example in their own words. We have included a bank of suggested word choices to support students in completing this task.
