This is a whole class activity that is great when introducing the topic of persuasive/opinion writing. Using the topic cards, students use their for/against cards to share their opinions. These cards are great when added to popsticks and used as voting paddles. The topic cards can also be used as persuasive writing prompts. Use the ‘let's tally it’ recording sheet to get students discussing topics with one another and hearing similar and different opinions. This resource includes 16 different topic cards.
