Formal vs Social Language LET’S ROLL
Description
Roll the dice and move around the game board, which features mini worlds taken from the other digi-games. The more correct answers you get, the more opportunities there are to earn points and speed ahead. Game on!
In this version, students explore how language changes depending on the formality of the situation and the social relationship between speakers. From classroom conversations to professional emails, students decide whether a given sentence is more appropriate for a formal or informal context, deepening their understanding of audience, tone, and language conventions.
