Description

Explore the different aspects of text that you can investigate when forming an opinion about the text. Students will be given contexts as to why we form opinions of texts before exploring three categories of aspects that can be launchpads for forming opinions:
  1. characters
  2. setting
  3. plot
Each of these categories contains three aspects and examples to have students identify them within texts that they have read or are currently reading. Students are finally tasked with choosing an aspect and then forming an opinion of a text they are reading based on that aspect.
