Are you looking for a ‘fun and interactive’ task to help your students share their knowledge and understanding of the seasons of the year and the changes that occur throughout these seasons? This hands-on task is a great addition to a unit of work within this Earth and Space Science strand. 

Use this resource to create a spinner that can be moved around to show the changes in our environment throughout the seasons. Two separate templates have been included - one with images of a tree trunk - ready for students to draw the tree's foliage throughout the seasons. The second template is blank, allowing you to determine how the students can represent changes in the seasons.

Why not use this during assessment times to ask students about the clothing choices, and then when you spin the spinner to the next season – and you can have students explain to you what (if any) the difference in clothing choices are – and why there are differences.
