Students represent fractions as a part of shapes with this worksheet.
Each question involves an addition sum with fractions. Students will colour the shape according to the two added fractions, using a different colour for each fraction. They will then determine the sum of the two fractions.
Finally, there is a space for students to create their own shapes and addition sums.
There are two versions of this worksheet included in the download. One with segments already created within the shapes and one without, requiring students to partition the shape themselves.
Print one page per student, or if working in small groups, place a few sheets into write-and-wipe sleeves and reuse them for each group of students.
