Description
These puzzle worksheets will have your students creating a number line before piecing together the parts that indicate where the fractions sit along the number line.
There are two versions of the puzzle. One with improper fractions and one with mixed numerals. Fractions include halves, quarters, fifths, and tenths.
Give a copy of the puzzle to each student as a perfect independent activity when learning to plot fractions along number lines. They cut along the grey lines to get all the pieces they will need to complete the puzzle.
Some hints to help students who need extra support:
- Look for the helper shapes on some of the puzzle pieces. These will give you two pieces that go next to each other.
- All pieces on the page are the right way around before being cut out. Encourage students to keep their pieces organised and around the correct way or have them make small markings before cutting out the pieces.
- The Top Teacher logo is on the puzzle piece that sits in the bottom right corner.
