Your students can learn and practise using the friendly factors multiplication strategy with these worksheets.

  The worksheets include helpful prompts for the steps that need to be taken to apply the strategy. There are three different versions. They progress from two-digit by one-digit multiplication to two-digit by two-digit multiplication, with the middle version having a mixture of both. Your students could work through them as a learning progression or you could use them for differentiation.   When you have decided which versions of the worksheets to give to which students, you can print them and start the activity. Handy answer sheets are also included.
