Fun Facts Fortune Teller is an ideal activity to use at the start of the school year. It is a fun and engaging way for students to express interesting facts about themselves and to learn more about their peers.

Using one of the four included templates or our editable version, students will write or draw interesting facts about themselves to share with their peers. While our blank and editable templates will allow you or your students to add headings and prompts of your choice, our version with prompts is ready to print and use! The prompts included are:

1. Favourite Hobby
2. Favourite Sport
3. Favourite Place
4. Favourite Animal
5. Favourite Movie
6. Favourite Book
7. Favourite Food
8. Favourite Drink.

If students are using a template with headings, they can draw or write their responses. If using a blank template, have them add their own headings and responses. To create their Fun Facts Fortune Teller, students will cut out the template and follow the instructions beside it to assemble it. Younger students may need support with this step.

Once the fortune tellers have been assembled, provide time for your students to interact with them. Encourage students to guess each other’s responses before revealing them. At the end of the session, bring the students back together to share what they learnt about one another!

While not required, enlarging the templates to A3 is recommended.
