This book response task for Gangsta Granny by David Walliams has students dive into multiple aspects of Granny’s house.
They will describe the house from multiple perspectives before choosing things Ben would swap for others that he would prefer.
Students will then design a space in the house that Ben would enjoy, they will label each feature and provide a description.
Finally, students will pretend to be Ben after he has found the jewellery stash. They will use their imagination to think of what could be stored up in Granny’s attic. What other treasures could she be hiding?
This task is featured in the Gangsta Granny Novel Study.
