Support your Year 2 students in their learning of HASS: Geography, with the Travel Brochure Assessment task.

Created to coincide with Year 2 Geography Australian Curriculum, this activity will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts related to how places change can be spatially represented in geographical divisions from local to regional to state or territory and how people are interconnected across those scales.

Students will use the travel brochure template to demonstrate their knowledge of their state or territory they live in by identifying it on a map, identifying landmarks and features and selecting the best mode of transport to travel around Australia.

Teachers can assess this task using the Travel Brochure Assessment Rubric. A blank version of this document has also been included.
