Are you looking for an adorable Grandparents’ Day activity that would make the perfect gift? Then our Grandparents’ Day Badge is the resource for you! This cute craft has been designed to be inclusive of all grandparent figures and is sure to be worn with pride!

Students will create ‘World’s Best Grandparent’ badges to give to their grandparents or grandparent figures on Grandparents’ Day. They will use the template to create an accordion folded base, which they will glue a badge face to. Your students’ grandparents will love wearing their special badges on Grandparents’ Day!

To complete the craft, students will accordion fold strips of coloured card to create their own badge backing and finish it off with a badge face design and ribbons. Students also have the option to be creative and add their own decorations. All instructions and an example of the finished craft are included in the resource.

We recommend printing the badge backing circle, accordion fold strips and ribbon pieces on coloured cardstock. The badge circles can be printed on white cardstock for the students to colour in. You may wish to provide craft items for the students to decorate their badges with, such as feathers, pipe cleaners, sequins, rhinestones, stickers, patty pans or buttons.

To turn this gorgeous craft into a badge, you will require safety pins to tape to the back. Alternatively, turn it into a magnet by adding magnetic tape!
