Support your students' discovery of Greek and Latin roots with the Growing Words From Their Roots resource! This eye-catching display will brighten up your classroom while helping your students to improve their vocabulary and spelling of new words.

This resource includes a vibrant banner and an assortment of Greek and Latin roots displayed on brightly coloured plant pots and leaves. Each Greek and Latin root includes a definition and examples. We have also included black-and-white versions and a blank version.

To involve your class in the creation of this display, we recommend putting students in partners and giving each pair one of our Greek or Latin root plant pots. Then, allow them time to research words that use that root. Finally, each pair can use our blank leaf template or draw their own leaf designs on green paper, cut them out, add example words and assemble the leaves and pots together!
