Description

Use this interactive task card activity to have your class explore the association between equal sharing and halving.

With 20 interactive task cards, this resource will help your students apply the concept of halving to solve real-world problems, such as sharing food or objects equally among friends or family members. In this activity, it is represented by an elephant who wants the class to share their food with their friends. To start, students will count the number of given food items. They must then divide the food into two sets by crossing half of it out using a whiteboard marker. You could also cover half of the food items using manipulatives, counters or play dough!

This low-prep task card set is sized to fit in the Kmart rainbow photo storage. It is also suitable for both individual and small group work.
