Stuck on where to start preparing to teach Foundation Health? Our Health Identities and Change Unit Plan is exactly what you need to get started! Aligned to V9 of The Australian Curriculum, this 5-lesson unit explores the identity and culture of the children in your class. Your students will discuss what it means to be included and feel like they belong at school. They will learn about different family structures and cultures and reflect on their own family and what is special to them. Students will pose and answer questions, develop empathy towards others and participate in important inclusion discussions. They will be encouraged to share their experiences to reflect on who they are and the people in their life helping to shape their identity.
