An interactive slideshow for the whole class!

A great maths warm-up for a mass lesson. Best played on a TV or other large screen, students will practise their ability to use hefting to test which item they believe to be lighter or heavier when presented with two classroom objects.

Each slide shows a child with 2 common classroom items. Students can grab these items, heft to determine which is lighter/heavier and then bob down/stand up depending on what the slide is asking. Alternatively, students could just guess which they think is heavier/lighter without the hands-on component.

Not only does this game give students a brain break and a chance to move their bodies but it also provides the teacher with immediate feedback on each student's understanding of comparing mass.
