Support your Foundation students in their learning of HASS: History, with the My Favourite Celebration Assessment task.

Created to coincide with Foundation History Australian Curriculum, this activity will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts related to celebrations and commemorations of significant events that are shared with their families and others.

Students will record details about their favourite celebration, including who attends, what they eat and what they do. This can be completed on the My Favourite Celebration worksheet or My Favourite Celebration Balloon Craftivity. To gain further information on each child’s understanding of the topic, teachers can ask students follow up questions as outlined on the My Favourite Celebration Recording Sheet.

Teachers can assess this task using the My Favourite Celebration Assessment Rubric. A blank version of this document has also been included.
