Homographs are words that have the same spelling, different meaning and different pronunciation.
In this resource, students practice their understandings of homographs by matching the images with the same spelt word. This game is a great game to play as a whole class. Students sit in a circle, each with a card – teacher included. The teacher starts by reading the ‘who has’ on his/her card, then the student who has the matching side says ‘I have….’and follows with their ‘who has….’. This will continue in a cycle until all cards are read. You need to ensure all cards have been handed out (some may have 2 cards each).
