To play students will look at a picture and count the number of syllables in the word. They then select that number on the board to see if they are right.
Top Teacher Tip - You may like to get your students hopping on the spot or in hoops to count the syllables. This is a great way for them to practise breaking the word into syllables. They can then count the number of hops or hoops jumped in to work out the number of syllables.
