Description

Use this resource to provide a clear understanding of your students’ knowledge of how weather can affect our day-to-day lives within the Foundation Earth and Space Science strand. 

The task asks students to illustrate a particular weather type, and decorate a person cut out with clothing and activities choices to suit that weather. The second part of the task presents students with a change in the weather and asks them to adjust their illustrations to suit. 

We recommend conferencing with your student after the task to allow you to identify specific vocabulary and knowledge that students may still need to acquire to meet the Foundation Achievement Standard. 

There are differentiated templates included ensuring flexibility for your students’ needs. Including spaces for drawing, and space for simple labelling or teacher scribing.

You might also be interested in a more simplified assessment task to assess this same topic, where students are asked to complete a cut and paste task.
