Description
Students answer questions correctly to collect treasure from the bottom of the ocean floor. Each piece of treasure is worth different amounts of points depending on its size and colour. With every correct answer, students haul up more treasure—who will end up with the biggest haul by the end of the game?
In this version, students examine a variety of 2D shapes and identify the number of corners (or vertices) each shape has. This visual activity helps build early geometry skills, reinforces key vocabulary, and supports counting and spatial reasoning in a fun, treasure-themed format.
Let’s Sail – How Many Corners? 2D Shapes is ideal for Foundation to Year 2 students learning to recognise and describe the properties of 2D shapes. Play it on the interactive whiteboard or let students use the QR code to play independently and strengthen their skills.
