Use this worksheet to help students discover how many letters are in their name.
Students write each letter of their name in a box. They then count how many letters there are and write this in the big box underneath. They then draw the number into the ten frame next to it. There is also a harder version with a box for students to show the number in tally form after the ten frame.
For each version there is a sheet with one or two tens frames.
After completing this activity, you may like to work as a class to create a large graph with all of your students' names to see how many 3 letter, 4 letters names etc. you have in your class.
