Create a rhyming couplet by innovating on the nursery rhyme ‘Humpty Dumpty’.
Use the coloured version to model to students – either by projecting onto a whiteboard, or laminating and using dry erase markers. Students can then complete their own rhyme innovation on the black and white version.
Some examples: Humpty Dumpty sat on a cat, Humpty Dumpty said ‘How’s that!”. Humpty Dumpty sat on a bike, Humpty Dumpty went for a hike.
This would make a great display or class book.
