The Hundredths Decimal Grid Match Up Activity is an interactive task designed to help students strengthen their understanding of decimals and place value. By matching shaded hundredths grids to their corresponding decimal values, students practise recognising decimal representations in a hands-on and collaborative way.

How to Complete:

1. In pairs or small groups, students will take turns to draw a decimal number card and a shaded hundredths grid card from the piles.
2. If students identify a match, they can collect the pair of cards.
3. The game continues until all cards have been matched and collected.

Additional Tips:

1. Turn the activity into a game by telling students that the player with the most pairs of cards at the end of the allocated time is the winner.
2. Print the cards on different coloured cardstock to make sorting between the grid and decimal number cards easier.
