Students will love the process of writing a procedure to explain how an ice cream sundae is made and creating an eye-catching ice cream sundae craft to stick above it! In addition to detailed instructions and an adorable display banner, this resource includes two options to suit the needs of your class:

1. A crafty cut-and-paste sundae with a writing template.
2. A worksheet option that is ready to be painted or coloured and added to the writing template.

In addition to practising writing a procedure, this hands-on activity allows students to practise their fine motor skills as they cut and assemble their ice cream sundaes.

Top Teacher Tips:

1. For a pop of colour, print the backing templates on coloured cardstock.
2. Enlarge the templates to A3 for additional writing space.
3. Have students paint and add craft items to the sundaes, such as cotton wool for ice cream, coloured felt for toppings and pom poms for cherries.
4. Have an ice cream sundae making lesson where students get to put their procedures to the test (check for allergies). Alternatively, have students make an ice cream sundae with their families at home and bring in photos to show the process.
