This fun, interactive digital game will help your students understand how images contribute to meaning and develop their inference skills.

This resource includes 17 images for students to analyse. They will compare each picture with the accompanying sentence to determine if the image contributes meaning to the text. If they think the image adds meaning to the text, they give a thumbs up. If the image does not add meaning to the text, they show a thumbs down.

Each text and image slide includes questions in the Notes section that you can use as discussion prompts. If you wish to view these while playing the game, view the PowerPoint in the ‘Normal’ presentation mode rather than ‘Slide Show’ mode.
