Description

Help your students discover text features in known imaginative and informative texts with this handy checklist activity!
Pair this resource with the Informative or Imaginative? Compare & Contrast activity to introduce students to different text features and the text type they’re likely to appear in. Then, using your classroom reading corner or your school library, ask students to explore different texts and locate the text features in action, identifying whether they appeared in an informative or imaginative text.
Two versions of this activity are included, with an extension version asking students to write the title of each text they use on their sheet. You could even extend this further by setting a rule that students must use a different text for every feature!
Perfect for independent, paired or small group work. Print as standard, enlarge to A3 for more writing space, or place in a write and wipe sleeve for an easy, reusable fast finisher task.
