Initial Sound Eggs

Description

These Easter eggs are a great way for your students to practise initial sounds.

Each letter of the alphabet is displayed on an egg with a matching initial sound picture. The letter x has 2 options, xylophone and fox.

There are many ways you could choose to use these.

  • Use for a literacy display at Easter time.
  • Cut the top part of the egg off each image so that students need to match the letter to the picture.
  • Keep whole and use with a sensory tray – students to choose and egg and say the sound represented by the letter.
  • Use in a tracing set up with students using their fingers to trace in coloured sand, 100’s and 1000’s.
