Use these planning formats to assist your students in planning and structuring a narrative.
There are 3 different formats available. Choose the one to best suit your school's style of narrative writing:
- Orientation - Event - Complication - Resolution
- Beginning - Middle - End
- Orientation - Complication - Resolution
To use this resource, students will cut out the table and cut along the dotted lines to create flaps. They then glue down the left side column of the table into writing books. Flaps are used as a guide to structure a narrative text.
There are 6 different picture prompts available to use, along with a blank version of each format.
