Keep It Cool Science Experiment
Description
Students conduct an experiment to see which type of insulating material is best at keeping water coldest the longest.
This science experiment can also be used as an assessment with the included rubric.
Students will test two insulating materials over thirty minutes. They will then chart the data, compare findings with peers and write up a conclusion based on their findings.
There are multiple versions of the resource and certain pages that can be utilised in any combination that best suits your students:
- A four-page experiment with a completed method, materials, and graph setup
- A sub-out page with a blank method and materials section
- A sub-out page with a blank graph grid for students to label themselves.
- A completed rubric and a blank rubric.
