This adorable craft has been designed to accompany a whole class reading of the picture book Koala Lou by Mem Fox.

Students will love making a cute picture of little Koala Lou and her loving mother sitting on a gum tree branch. This is a low prep craft, including all required pieces in one document; however, you may wish to provide additional items to enhance students’ completed crafts, such as cotton wool, pom poms, grey wool and googly eyes. You could even have your students collect real twigs and leaves to add to their craft!

This resource includes:

1. Gum tree, Koala Lou and Mother pieces (in colour and black and white).
2. Backing template
3. A Koala Lou and Mother colouring, painting or collage template (in black and white).

Early Years and Foundation students may benefit from having this resource enlarged to A3.
