How to Complete

1. This resource includes editable backing templates and labels to guide students in creating their personalised portraits.
2. Students will draw and paint a portrait of their mum or caregiver on A3 white cardstock.
3. Once dry, they can trace their pencil lines with a black marker to make their artwork stand out.
4. Students will cut out the portraits and glue them in the centre of the coloured A3 backing template.
5. They can then cut, arrange, and glue the labels around the portrait.

Additional Tips

1. Print the backing pages on coloured A3 card for extra visual impact.
2. Support younger students by modelling the labelling process as a whole class.
3. Add extra flair to the portraits with craft materials such as wool (for hair), sequins (for jewellery), buttons, pipe cleaners or stickers.
