The scenarios and roles for the sorting task includes:

  • a debate – chairperson, first speaker, second speaker, final speaker.
  • a sports game – commentator, coach, player, referee.
  • a game show – announcer, host, contestant, puzzle master.

This activity can be used as an English rotation or group task. Students can complete the entire sorting task or just one scenario at a time (divide the green phrases cards accordingly). There is also a recording sheet for each scenario for students to complete.
