This resource has been designed for your students to understand that vocabulary and language choices are influenced by places, people and topics.

Students will sort the words into the area of the house where they are most often used. Three worksheet options have been provided to suit the needs of your class:

1. Option 1: Students cut and paste words, sorting them into different areas of a house.
2. Option 2: Students cut and paste sentences, sorting them into different areas of a house.
3. Option 3: Students think of words or sentences used in different areas of a house and add them to the table.

This activity is ideal for individual, small group or whole-class completion.
