Language Sort: Around the School has been designed for your students to understand that vocabulary and language choices are influenced by places, people and topics.

Students will sort the words into the area of school where they are most often used. Three worksheet options have been provided to suit the needs of your class:

1. Option 1: Students cut and paste words, sorting them into different areas of the school.
2. Option 2: Students cut and paste sentences, sorting them into different areas of the school.
3. Option 3: Students think of words or sentences that are used in different areas of the school and add them to the table.

This activity is ideal for individual, small-group or whole-class completion.
