Lemonade Chemistry Worksheets
Description
This activity is a fun way to investigate reversible and irreversible changes while learning about the chemistry behind fizzy drinks.
Your students will use water, bi-carb soda and lemon juice to create lemonade. An instructions page is included which has two copies on each page and can be cut in half after printing.
After producing the lemonade, your students will complete the evaluation sheet. It guides them through recording information about acids, bases, sharing their observations and explaining which parts of the activity were reversible or irreversible. Your students will also consider how dissolving is used to make cans and bottles of fizzy drinks. A handy answer sheet is provided which helps to explain the chemistry.
This resource is part of our Chemical Sciences Year 6 UNIT PLAN.
