Description

Let’s Feed Frankie: Shapes Activity is a fun and hands-on way to help students practise identifying and naming 2D shapes! With a friendly monster and a tactile feeding activity, this resource brings shape recognition to life through interactive play.

To set up Frankie, cut out the monster template and remove the mouth section. Attach the monster to a box or container so that shape cards can be “fed” into Frankie’s mouth and land inside the box. This creates an exciting and purposeful activity students will love returning to again and again.

As students play, they identify the shape on each card before feeding it to Frankie. You can also add an extra challenge by giving prompts such as, “Can you feed Frankie something with no corners?” or “Find a shape with four equal sides.”

Let’s Feed Frankie is perfect for small group rotations, shape stations, early finisher tubs, or intervention support. It’s a low-prep, high-engagement way to reinforce shape recognition through movement and fun!
