These fun worksheets can be used when comparing the life cycles of a plant and an animal.

After finding a partner, your students will need to decide which person in each pair will research the information about a plant life cycle and which person will research an animal life cycle. If needed, you could use a lettering or numbering system to designate each student’s role.

Using books and/or the internet, your students will then need to research the life cycle of a plant or animal of their choice. They will record their information on the sheets. Following their research time, the partners will get back together and share their information with each other. They can then work together or independently to compare the life cycles using the Venn diagram provided. You might like each pair to present their comparisons to the class at the end of the lesson.

To use this resource, simply print enough copies so that half of your students can use the first animal research page and the other half can use the second plant research page. Decide whether you would like the students to complete the Venn diagram by sharing a copy with their partner or individually and print the number of copies of the third page required.
