Use this easy, low-prep board game activity in small groups to practise identifying the modality of different modal verbs.

Students roll the dice to move along the game board, landing on different modal verbs. They must decide if the word has high, low or medium modality and write it into their recording sheet. The first student to get four words in a row wins the game!

We’ve provided six colour options so you can create separate sets for small groups. Use the full colour, low colour or black & white options to best suit your context. Print a different recording sheet for each player and use them as an easy pre or post assessment!
