Use these task cards during a teaching and learning sequence on using informal units and balance scales to compare the weight of objects. Students will be asked to complete a range of measuring challenges using a range of easy to access classroom objects and a balance scale. An additional set of task cards uses marbles as the informal unit to measure with. An optional recording sheet has been included for students to record their results.
