Description
A map of a town called ‘Measureville’ is provided and features a range of landmarks. After selecting appropriate informal units, for example, small blocks counters or paperclips, your students can start measuring the distances between the specified landmarks.
Three differentiated versions of the worksheets are provided. They increase in complexity throughout with more landmarks included in the questions. You might like to complete this activity as a whole class, providing the differentiated versions to the students who require them. Alternatively, your students could start with the first version of the worksheet and progress to complete all three.
You can print the worksheets on A4 or enlarge them onto A3 so that larger informal units can be used.Additional information
