Your students can investigate medium modality words with these engaging worksheets.

After identifying the medium modality words from a group, your students will try to rank them from the lowest modality to the highest. They are then challenged to complete some writing which uses the words. Three differentiated versions of the worksheet are included. The first provides cloze sentences, the second requires the students to write all of the sentences and the third needs a paragraph to be created. Additionally, a thought-provoking question prompts students to reflect on how these words impact texts and speech.
