Investigate the concept of melting point of different metals with this teaching presentation.   This PowerPoint encourages student thinking about melting point with though experiments and discussion prompts.   It uses an example of objects left out in the sun and asks students for example items that would melt.   Once it is understood that not all objects will melt in the sun, the presentation then introduces the concept of melting points and how this can be used to create solutions for problems.   This resource is included in the Chemical Sciences Year 3 UNIT PLAN.
