Messages & Morals
Description
Our Messages & Morals activity is the perfect choice to help your students recognise that narratives are used for the purpose of entertaining the reader and teaching them valuable lessons. It is important for students to understand that authors use characters to deliver these important messages through their thoughts, words and actions.
To complete this task, students will read a text, write a summary, identify the moral being taught and explain how the author used characters to reveal the moral to the reader.
This versatile resource can be used with a text of your choice. We have included multiple versions of this task to suit the needs of your class.
This resource has been designed to align with our Year 5 Narrative Writing UNIT PLAN and is also suitable for use with Year 4 students.Additional information
