In this book response task for Misery Guts by Morris Gleitzman, students create the branding for their own fish & chip shop in a similar way to Keith wanting to revitalise his parents’ grey storefront.
Students begin by reflecting on Keith’s reasoning behind wanting to paint the fish & chip shop before developing their own colour scheme and name for their own store.
They will design a menu and develop a logo to be placed on a sticker when wrapping up the fish & chips.
Finally, they will colour the illustrated storefront in their colour scheme and fill in the background with their ideal location.
This book response task is featured in the Misery Guts Novel Study.
