Your students can enjoy investigating modality words in texts with these fun worksheets.
The worksheets can be used alongside any text that your class are reading or studying that includes modality words. The students record the name of the text and list the words that they find in the text. They then select six of the words and try to rank them from lowest to highest modality. After this, the students try to create additions to the text using the modality words. Three differentiated versions of the worksheet are available. For the first version, the students write three sentences; the second version requires an additional sentence and the third version needs a paragraph to be written.
