Support your Year 3 and 4 students in their Health: Interacting With Others unit of work with the Modifying Games Jigsaw task.Created to coincide with the Year 3 and 4 Health Australian Curriculum, this activity will allow students to recognise the importance of building relationships, valuing diversity and promoting inclusion through making simple changes to common games played by children at school.Students will work in small groups to suggest ways to modify a game so that a student with specific needs can be included. They will rotate across 7 task sheets, each with a different game, and work as a group to modify the games’ rules, equipment and location.This resource includes 8 task sheets: 7 sheets with a different game on each and a blank version to use for the game of your choice. It is recommended to print this task on A3 paper to allow students more space to record their modifications.
