How to Complete

Each bookmark features a heartwarming Mother’s Day poem and space for the fingerprint flower artwork. Editable templates are included should you wish to adjust the text. In addition to the printable template, you will need paint or colourful ink pads. You may also like to supply ribbon or tassels, glitter, a hole punch and laminating pouches.

1. Print the templates on white or coloured card and cut out the bookmarks (we recommend using a guillotine for fast and precise cutting).
2. Before adding paint, have students use a green marker pen to draw a stem.
3. They can then dip their finger and thumb in paint and press them on the bookmark to create a flower and leaves. While the paint is still wet, glitter can be added for extra sparkle.
4. Once dry, the bookmarks can be backed onto coloured card and laminated for longevity.
5. As a finishing touch, you can hole punch the top and add a tassel or ribbon.
