Description

Get ready to roll! In this fast-paced digital game, students take turns rolling the dice and racing around a colourful game board filled with mini worlds—like the ocean, race track, mountains and more. With each turn, players face multiplication questions designed to boost fluency and recall facts up to 10 × 10.

Students will encounter a mix of vocabulary and phrasing, such as “What is 5 × 4?”, “Find the product of 6 and 7”, or “What’s the result of 9 times 3?”. This variation helps them practise interpreting and solving problems quickly and accurately, reinforcing both language comprehension and number fact recall.

The game continues until all questions have been answered. Players keep moving around the board until the end, and the student with the highest total coin value wins!

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • ✅ Recall and apply multiplication facts up to 10 × 10
  • ✅ Interpret multiplication vocabulary in different question formats
  • ✅ Strengthen number fluency and quick recall of facts
  • ✅ Build confidence in solving mental multiplication problems
  • ✅ Engage in interactive, turn-based gameplay with real-time feedback

How to Play:

  1. Students roll the dice and move their token across the themed game board.
  2. When they land on a space, they’re asked a multiplication question with varied phrasing.
  3. A correct answer allows them to collect the coin on that space—coin values vary by colour and size.
  4. Occasionally, a special event may occur to add extra excitement to the round.
  5. Players continue circling the board until all questions are completed. The player with the highest total coin value wins!

Ideas for Classroom Use:

  • 💡 Use during numeracy blocks or multiplication units to build automaticity and recall
  • 💡 Great for Year 3–4 students consolidating foundational multiplication facts
  • 💡 Pair with a follow-up challenge: “Can you create your own multiplication questions using different wording?”
  • 💡 Use in maths rotations as a fluency station that keeps students motivated and moving

Top Teacher Tips:

  • 💛 Let students personalise their experience by choosing from six characters before the game begins
  • 💛 Select the number of players or teams at the start of the game to suit individual, paired, or group play
  • 💛 Send the QR code home for students to play as a homework or revision task

Let’s Roll – Multiplication up to 10 × 10 turns fluency practise into a fun, engaging race around the board—where number facts meet adventure and every correct answer counts!
