This is an assessment of knowledge and skills of Year 4 Civics and Citizenship.

In this activity, students will create their own Local Community by creating a town map, including a key to distinguish elements. Students complete a proposal including roles, responsibilities and services local governments provide, rules and laws required to keep the community functioning and community groups that may be active.

This assessment brings together all the Year 4 Civics and Citizenship knowledge and skills as well as all the inquiry skills. In this activity pack, there is a proposal booklet with optional pages for community groups, a town map best blown up to A3 and 2 different rubrics one blank and the other completed.
